AmSIA celebrates 2 awards: the Innovation Award and the Impact Award

The Innovation Award is awarded to the best innovative research-based ideas that contribute to a better world. The Impact Award is an achievement award for Amsterdam researchers who have created meaningful impact to society with their research projects and innovations.

Imran Avci Wins the 2025 VU Faculty of Science Valorisation Award

AmSIA Alumnus Imran Avci has been awarded Valorisation Award 2025 of VU Faculty of Science! This award recognizes her outstanding contributions to innovation, entrepreneurship, and the societal impact of her research.

Winners Innovation Awards 2023

At NEMO Science Museum, the Innovation Awards were presented for the 16th time, to Zeliha Guler, Pepijn van Rutten and Olivier Lugier. They will each receive 10,000 euros to further develop their idea and bring it to the market.

Amsterdam Impact Awards for radioactive TomTom, mathematical optimisation and essential fungi

Researchers Guus van Dongen, Dick den Hertog and Toby Kiers have been awarded the Impact Award 2023. This Impact Award is presented to renowned researchers who make a meaningful contribution to society. There are three categories: Health, Society and Environment & Climate.

PULSE Sport Wins Prestigious Dutch Sports Innovation Award 2024

PULSE Sport, former participant of AmSIA, has reached a significant milestone by winning the prestigious 14th Dutch Sports Innovation Award. The company’s flagship product, a cutting-edge athlete management system, integrates advanced software and artificial intelligence to revolutionize athlete health and performance monitoring.
