About the AmSIA

The Amsterdam Science & Innovation Awards 2023 will help you move your innovative idea into the next stage of its application, heading towards societal impact. In 2023, again three awards will be handed out in 21 November In NEMO Science Museum.

By winning the Amsterdam Science & Innovation Award we received a lot of media attention for the brain scanner in the ambulance of the Amsterdam UMC. Thanks to this media attention we also achieved our Heart Foundation crowdfunding campaign goal to finance the equipment. In 2022, we founded the Amsterdam UMC spin-off company TrianecT to iterate our research into a commercially available brain scanner that can help all suspected stroke patients in every ambulance.
